Davison's Boat Yard was founded by Russell Davison in 1932 and has been servicing the needs of local boaters ever since. Operating on the site of his family's lumber mill, the business thrived in the midst of The Great Depression by providing a higher level of service. Being boating enthusiasts themselves, the Davison's crew knew what customers expected. The yard was equipped to handle any job on any boat and the carpentry and paintwork performed were second to none. This legacy of service would be the cornerstone on which the Davisons would build their successes throughout their history. |

In 1955, a new generation of Davisons took the helm. Under its new management, Davison’s Boat Yard
became the distributor for Daytona Engines and Blue Bay oil products. In 1974 MerCruiser made Davison’s its Bluewater Inboard distributor. Several years later, a subsidiary, Metro Power Center, was created to focus on MerCruiser’s newly penned Engine Power Center contract. All the while, Davison’s Boat Yard continued to concentrate on providing its clientele with superior repair service. In 1992, the company was sold to a long time employee. |

Today, Davison’s Boat Yard is a MerCruiser dealership employing factory-trained technicians who average over 15 years of marine repair experience servicing both gasoline and diesel engines. It has indoor, outdoor and wet storage available on 4.5 acres at the end of East Rockaway Channel. The yard hauls boats up to 70 feet long, upward of 40 tons, and offers all aspects of repair and renovation including carpentry, fiberglass and paintwork. Russell Davison’s seventy year legacy of providing boaters a higher level of service is alive and well in modern day Davison’s Boat Yard. |
